More Arizona Trip Pics

The Darger family loves games, well most of them.
Okay...I don't.
I will try to sit in on a few but I get anxious.
When we were growing up, trying to get through a board game
with ten people was just too much for me!
This game playing is serious business.

See I told you.  Here is dad in serious contemplation.
He tries to pretend that he is not competitive
but I actually get my intense desire to win from him.

And we both looks so tame, don't we?

Don't let them fool you. They all want to win as badly as I do.

Heather, You are supposed to eat the m&m's
not play with them.  Pass them to me if you don't want them!

My nephew, Austin Call.  He had his mission homecoming
that weekend.  It was so good to be there.  An amazing guy!
I miss too many family events so I was especially
appreciative being in town for it.

The Girls

Bree, Jenny Call Stevens, and Toni Call

Group photo after dinner one night when the men
of the family were invited.  :)
I think they should plan a father & son reunion each year.

The two youngest and the most feisty of the girls.
Well, at least I admit it.

What would we do without these two?

And what would we do without the brothers?

Debbie and Donnie, the two oldest
and definitely not the feistiest!
Although...not the tamest either.
Where's the middle two?  :)
See, they don't even have a photo together.
Where the heck were you two hiding?
Oh, I think that was the night you were both stuck
at the far end of the table at Outback.
Next year you need to call dibs on the middle.

All in all another fabulous time with the fam.

robk photography

Normally at our reunion each year we just take a snapshot
but this year since everyone was able to make it, we went to robk photography.

www.robkphoto.net

These are not the edited ones.
I am still waiting to get those sent from Arizona.
He showed us the editing that he could do
and I am amazed at what can be done these days.
He made us look years younger but taking away our wrinkles,
blemishes, and age spots.
Whoo-hoo!
Remember: these are not the edited ones!

We definitely made him earn his money.
Either he really enjoyed our craziness,
or he thought we were the biggest freaks around.
Tons of fun!

My mom was such a trooper.
She is in constant pain and she endured it all very well.

These are my two sister-in-laws, Kelly and Heather.
They are wild and crazy and bring so much fun to our family.

Kelly was on a roll.

Heather is the master of posing for pictures.
We have all tried to learn from her,
but it is a work in progress.

Truly, I couldn't feel any more blessed.
Having five wonderful sisters is amazing.

This is our birth order:
Debbie, Donnie, Joy, Ann, Dina, & Bizzy
I am actually the one of the shortest.
It is times like this that heels come in handy!

Loving life!
Thanks for the fun girls.
I love you all.

Mother & Daughter

Besides getting to go to Arizona for my sister reunion,
I got to spend time with Bree.
We miss her so much and the rest of the family was
jealous that I got to see her.  Sorry family. :)
I feel so blessed to have such good relationships with my girls.
It was fun to see Bree's growing tummy.
Still hard to believe that this summer I will be a grandma.
I am looking for names that won't make me feel as old as "Grandma".
Any suggestions are welcome.

One night we went out to dinner with my sisters, mom, and nieces.  We were watching my mom eat a lemon without making any kind of sour face and just watching her made me cringe.  She has always loved lemons.  So Bree and I decided to try it.
As you can see we weren't successful .
It makes me cringe again just looking at the picture!

Go ahead, tell me to act my age...

I won't listen to you anyway!

Thanks for the great time Bree.  I love you!

Darger Girls Reunion

One of the bummers about living in Idaho is missing Thanksgiving each year.  It is a pretty big celebration for my family and everyone usually makes it but our family.  Luckily the amazing Bakow family invited us to share theirs last Thanksgiving.  In this picture are my mom, sisters, and one of my sister-in-laws who is like a real sister. Bizzy and Debbie bought these aprons for all the girls to wear.  They felt sorry for me so they mailed me one.  I love getting unexpected packages in the mail.  I was told that I better provide proof that I had worn mine.

So here is the proof that I wore the apron
AND proof that I can hold a bag of potatoes. :)

Anyway, my reason for posting this is I am heading to Arizona for the annual Darger Girls Reunion and I couldn't be more excited.  Every year we meet for a few days and eat, shop, play games and just relax.  Best tradition ever.  I would recommend it for keeping mom and sister relationships close.

2009 reunion.  Hold on ladies...here I come!
The huge bonus this year is that I get to see my Bree for a couple of days!

Thanks to my family for supporting me every year and taking care of things at home.

"Mad Mom" Look

Bailey is always bothering me about my "mad mom look".  She mimicks the look that she says I give when I am mad at one of the kids.  She over exaggerates it if you ask me.  Everyone else seems to think it is pretty right on.  We were looking through some photos the other day and came across this kindergarten picture of mine.  This is the look!  I have had it since I was little!  My mom told me that I wouldn't smile for the school photographer because he kept calling me sweetie and I didn't like it.  So funny.  Well Bailey gives a pretty good mad look also so I told her that she already has the look that she will be giving her own children some day.  :)
Dina's mean mom look.  Ladies, you know that we all have one!
Here is our Christmas card photo from 2003 I think.  Bailey didn't want to wear a hat so she is mad.  Hmmm...I think there are some similarities to mine.  :)

Bronco Fiesta Bowl Fever!

We had a Fiesta Bowl party at our neighbor Patty's house.
She is the party queen and went all out with the decorations.

She took down her Christmas tree decorations
and re-decorated with Bronco colors!

The before and after Christmas tree.

True Bronco fans!

It is sadly time to put away "Vinnie" until next season.

Floyd is a regular at Patty's house during the fall
and he surprised us and made a reappearance for the big game.
We all have our assigned seats at Patty's.
Dani is making herself comfortable in her spot.

I am sad that college football season is over but American Idol starts next week and even though Patty is not a die hard fan like we are, she has consented to letting us have our Idol parties at her house.  Yeah for Patty!

This is our amazing neighbor and friend Patty and her grandson.  We don't know what we would do without her.  Life certainly wouldn't be as much fun.  She is like family.  We love you Patty!

It was such a fun night and of course B.S.U won which made for a perfect evening.
Great food, great friends, and a great team.
What more could you ask for?

Way to go Broncos!

We love you Coach Pete!
