Bailey's First Day of 7th Grade

Another year off to a good start.  Every time I send my kids out the door to school, I am so relieved it is not me.  Especially in the winter. :)  So the big excitement this year was that Bailey and McKenzie both got top lockers.  I had NO IDEA that a top locker could be such a huge deal.  Seriously, it was the happiest day ever when they found out at registration.  So funny.
If that is what it takes for a good year,
then I am all for it!
Have a great day girls.  Love you!

Dani's Bridal Showers

We are getting so close and I have to admit that I am a bit nervous, hoping everything goes well. " Mother Stress" never lets up!  Dani did have two wonderful showers this week. A big thank you to Laurie and Emily Broadbent, and Sarah Harward and Bug Walker.  They were busy spreading the love to Dano on Tuesday and Friday. :)  So, two more things crossed off the list.  (Bree, we missed having you here.  These pictures are just for you!)

 Dani's "Old Ladies" Shower
This one was at the home of our good friends from Gilbert, Phil and Laurie Broadbent.
We were in the same ward in Arizona and feel so lucky to live only minutes from them.
Their house is beautiful.
Dani's hostess's Laurie and Emily Broadbent.
(Excuse the creepy eyes, picnik wouldn't let me fix it.)

Ryan's mom and sisters came to the shower from Jerome.
Quite a drive for a bridal shower.  Good in-laws!

This is our fabulous friend and neighbor, Patty Harris.
She helped with the cute invitations.
She is one of those "can do everything" women.

Yeah for friends!  Love you, ladies.
Thanks to everyone who came to share the evening with Dani.

Thanks you two!

Sarah explaining the rules of making Dani's "wedding dress".
The girls were able to use toilet paper, tulle, ribbon, headband, flowers,
tape and scissors to create her dream dress.
The beautiful finished product.
Who needs to spend hundreds of dollars when you can have this?

I can't show pictures of most of Dani's gifts at this shower,
but I can say that her face was red most of the time.  : )

Congratulations to our Dano.  We love you.

Photo Catch Up

Things have been so crazy since we got home from Arizona.  I came home sick and did not have time for that.  I am just getting my energy back and now I am a week behind.  Here are some pics from the last week of our visit.  It is good to be home but while we were there I was once again reminded of the tremendous support and love we have in Arizona.  Both Brent and I feel so blessed to be a part of such close and loving families.  If it weren't for the horrendous weather I could possibly see us moving back one of these years, but each time we go in the summer we are reminded of how much we hate the heat. 115 degrees for the high and 97 degrees for the low just doesn't work for me. Bree and Bryce, you are invited to bring that sweet baby boy and move to Meridian to be with us.  Next week would be good.  :)
My niece Natalie.  She is the oldest granddaughter and turned 30 this summer.  Hard to believe how fast time goes.  You cannot find a sweeter person than this special lady!
Some of the Darger girl cousins.
Our beautiful Mesa Temple
These two are amazing parents.
It was fun to see these two together again.  Love you girls.
This is so Brent.  Get used to it, Cannon.  :)
Their day is coming fast!  Hopefully we will all be ready.
Sleeping father and son.
Sleeping grandfather and grandson.
My amazing dad.
Cannon's baby blessing- The extended Darger family.
The Clark family
The Gardner family- minus Bryce.  He had a Sunday School class waiting for him.
The extended Gardner Family.  Thank you to everyone who came.  It was a very special day and it was good to share it with so many that we love.
Grandma, daughter, and son. (I can't believe I just used that word!)
It was a double special day that Sunday.  Our little Dani turned 21.  Happy Birthday, lovely daughter.
We didn't have a candle so we got creative and used a straw and a match.  Clever us.
We love these people!
Brent with his sister, Marcy and his brother, Dirk.  I love this picture.  We don't have enough with these three together.
It was so hard saying goodbye to this sweet little boy.  We had a great seven weeks and loved every minute.  Well, except to the heat.
