Just checking in...

Bailey and I have been at our cabin this past week without access to a computer. We came down to St. George today to stay with my sister and her family, and thank goodness she has a computer! I was going through withdrawals. We are having a great time. We will be here until Saturday and then head back to our cabin for the
4th of July, then back home. I am sure that Brent and Dani are very lonely without us. Actually, I am pretty sure they are only missing me cooking their meals. :)

Sky Coaster at Lagoon

So this video is not of me, but it is showing you what I experienced last week at Lagoon. I have never tried anything like that, but my friend Lynn told me that if I would go on it she would pay the $15.00. Later I realized that she shouldn't have only paid for it, but she should have paid ME to do it! Next time I will know better. Later, I asked her if she heard me scream which was a dumb question because I am pretty sure that the whole park heard me. She said it was not just a regular scream but a scream of sheer terror! So I survived even though I was shaking for the next hour. I didn't pee my pants for any of you who are wondering! :)

Taking a Blogging Break

Bailey and I are taking a girl's trip to Utah to spend a week or two. My parents have a cabin in Little Cottonwood Canyon, just down from Snowbird Ski Resort. It is actually the home I grew up in until we moved to Arizona when I was ten years old. I am so thankful that they kept it when we moved. Like the Ranch for Brent, this is a place of wonderful memories for me. We have had many Darger family reunions there and so the grandchildren have great memories too. My best friend Lynn is coming from Arizona with her daugher Abbey who is Bailey's age to spend the week with us.

So, Lagoon Amusement Park is the big spot we are going to hit next week and Bailey is so excited she can hardly stand it. It is all she can talk about. Her and Abbey are spending time either talking on the phone about it, or instant messaging. This is a girl who until recently would not talk on the phone for anything. The pre-teens are here!
We went to Lagoon a couple of years ago and this ride was pretty new. Bailey would not even consider riding on "Wicked." She is thinking she wants to try it this time but we will see. Somehow I don't think that will happen. :) I did go on it that summer and thankfully didn't pee my pants!
Another view of "Wicked." It is pretty intense. I will post photos when we get home in a couple of weeks. Fun times!

Randall Ranch 2006

Brent's aunt and uncle own a ranch in Arizona
and he enjoyed the summers working there.
Those are very fond memories for him,
so the summer of 2006 he took the kids for a visit.
Brent is very at home in the saddle,
but I think Bree and Dani take after me! :)
This first picture is one of my favorites of Brent.

If Brent had been able to follow his dream,
it would be to own a ranch himself.
Hmm...I don't see that working for me.

I am amazed at how much Bailey
has changed in three years.
She loved riding.

Short girl, short horse!

Where did my little girl go?

I laugh every time I see the these pictures.
Bree and Dani are definitely girly-girls.
Click on these last few photos and
you can get a better look at the girls expressions.

Everyone survived and had a great time!

Bailey Rae's Growing Up!

Bailey received The Presidential Award which is given to kids who have excelled during the year. We are so proud of her and how hard she has worked. 5th Grade has been a wonderful year for her. Now we are on to the middle school. Am I ready for that?!! Nope.
We love you Bailey Rae!
