Bailey's school pictures

I shouldn't be surprised at how fast girls grow up once they reach a certain age since Bailey is my third daughter, but I have honestly been amazed and shocked at how quickly it seems to have happened. She just got her 6th grade school picture so I am posting the past few years for a comparison. This first one is her 3rd grade photo.

Time to get in shape!

Dani and I have decided that it is time to get healthy and fit so we joined Fitness 19, an affordable gym minutes away from home. We had an initial workout assessment this morning and are committed to working out with weights three times a week and a cardio workout five days each week. I haven't worked out with weights since the kids were young and had a personal trainer on and off over those years. I am so excited to get back into it. I have my 46th birthday right around the corner and for some reason this year I am ticked off about it. I don't want to age anymore but since I can't stop the years from flying by, I can at least stay as healthy and fit as possible. We have a follow up appointment with the trainer in four weeks so the heat is on! :)

Family Pictures 2009

This is all of the extended Darger family that were able to make it to our reunion this year. We were missing quite a few but we had a great time with those who were there. I truly feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful and close family.
Both of our brothers and their families weren't able to make it this year. But here are the Darger girls with our parents: Joy, Dina, Donnie, Ann, Bizzy, Debbie, and our parents Deanne and Darryl.
We are definitely feeling the love! Well, except maybe my mom who was getting all the hugs. :)
I love and appreciate my parents more than I can express.

Darger Family Reunion July 2009

This is the facility that we stayed at. It is just out of Cedar City Utah- Southern Utah University Mountain Center. It is a lodge that is used for the college but is rented out. The size was perfect for our family. Some slept in the lodge but others brought tents. I am a baby so me and the girls got a room. :)

Every afternoon there were rainstorms. I love the rain! One evening there was an especially big storm. My sister Ann, her husband Ladell, and I were sitting out under the ramada visiting and enjoying the storm when there was the loudest lighting crack I have ever heard. We actually saw lightening hit a tree not far from the lodge. Scared the death out of me and Ann. We were a bit jumpy after that for awhile.

The next morning we walked up to the area where it had struck and this is what we found.

Each family who has stayed at the lodge left a memento of some sort on a shelf they had in the kitchen. Bailey had the great idea to make this and leave it. We may have the reunion at this place again next year. Goodbye until then...

Bailey loves horses. In fact Brent promised her that we would have a farm and horses by the time she was 12 years old. Hmmm...don't see that happening in the next six months. :) Be more careful of your promises in the future, Brent!

Brent and Bailey have always had a special relationship. He would do anything for her- even lay on the floor and color.

2001 soon after our move to Idaho. Sometimes I forget that Idaho is all that Bailey remembers since she was so young when we left Arizona.
