Bailey Rae's Orchestra Concert

Bailey had her final orchestra concert this past week.  It is hard to believe that she has just finished up her first year of middle school.  This year has flown by!  Two of her best friends, Canada and McKenzie, were in orchestra with her.  Luckily, Canada's mom was the good mom and took a few pictures before the concert.  Bailey has not liked playing the violin this whole year and so we are battling over her playing next year.  It is hard to stay who is winning the war at this point.  I am tired and getting too old to fight.
Anyone want to take my place in the boxing ring with Bailey?
I will loan you my gloves for the day.  : )

Dani & Ryan Are Engaged!

HERE WE GO AGAIN...

We couldn't be happier for them.
We have loved getting to know Ryan
and we are super excited that they have a house
being built only ten minutes from us!
They will be getting married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple
on September 10th, with a reception that night
at The Wright House in Mesa.
Ryan's family is from Jerome, Idaho
and an open house will be held there the following weekend.
Although we have lived in Idaho for nine years,
our hearts, family and history will always be in Arizona;
therefore the out of state wedding.
(Brent thinks it's a bit unnecessary,
but it's Dani's wedding, right?)

It has been so much fun watching their relationship develop.
Ryan has impressed us with the love, concern,
and care that he gives to Dani.
So...it's a go and we couldn't be happier.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
Dani posted about the proposal on her blog.
  Take a peek.

Missy & Ryan Allen's Wedding

My nephew got married in March and we were able to go the to the wedding and reception in Salt Lake. We love it when family events are in Utah rather than Arizona due to the shorter drive and being able to attend those ones more often. Here are just a few of the photos taken.
My nephew, Ryan, is my sister Joy's son.
The entire Allen family
Ryan & Missy Allen
I love what they do with photography now.
Back in the day we didn't have
such unique photo choices.
Just boring, regular photos. :)

My sister Joy and two of her kids, Brad and Melissa.
The weather was the craziest
I have ever seen for a wedding.
Umbrellas all over the place.
Lucky for us, my uncle had a couple of
extra ones to spare for our family.
Everyone was very good sports about the
cold and wet conditions.
Weather can't spoil a wonderful day of love!
Missy with my amazing niece, Natalie.
Natalie will be 30 years old this summer.
She is the oldest of my nephews and nieces
and she has the smile of an angel.

Brent and the girls. I am taking the photo
and someone is taking one of me taking the photo.
Notice my pinkie.
For some strange reason, that is how I take pictures.
Don't ask me why, I have no idea.

Tracy & Joy with their son, Ryan
My sweet Bailey with my younger sister,
Bizzy behind her.

I love this picture.
I had to post this one because
I am taking a picture normally for once-
no crazy pinkie thing going on!

The whole group. I love all the umbrellas.
Brent and Bailey
This is another shot that I just love.
Dani and Bailey
Bizzy with her youngest daughter.
The younger kids loved the dancing.
It was fun to watch how much they enjoyed it.

The send off
Dani and her cousin Toni, and Missy.
Missy fits in perfectly with our family
and everyone loves her!
Joy and Ryan
He is their first child to get married.
A very special day for them.
Sweet grown up Bailey again.
We had a great trip.
Bree was able to fly up from Arizona.
We definitely treasure our time with her.
It is limited and too far in between.
Congratulations to Ryan & Missy!
